How we research
Refer Labs publishes comparisons across health, software and business tools. This page explains how that work is done, who does it, how it is funded, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.
We test, read and use before we recommend
Every product we cover is either used first-hand or assessed against its live version, current pricing and documentation, not a press release. For services we cannot legally use ourselves, such as prescription telehealth, we describe the process and what the published terms actually say, and point readers to primary sources.
Rankings are not for sale
A brand cannot pay to rank higher, be added to a comparison, or have a criticism removed. Commercial relationships never change the order of a list or the substance of a conclusion. Where two options are close, we say so rather than inventing a winner.
We disclose affiliate relationships plainly
Many pages contain affiliate links. If you buy or sign up through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how the research is funded, and the disclosure appears on every page that carries such a link, not buried in a policy you have to hunt for.
We date and revisit our work
Pricing, free trials and eligibility change. Guides carry a reviewed date and are revisited when a product materially changes. If something is out of date, that is a defect we want to fix.
Health content is information, not medical advice
Some guides cover telehealth services and health products. These pages describe how a service works and what its published process involves. They are not medical advice and do not establish that any treatment is suitable for you. Prescription medicines in Australia are available only after assessment by a registered practitioner, and suitability is decided individually. Always consult a qualified health professional before starting, stopping or changing any treatment.

Refer Labs is an Australian company founded by Jarred Krowitz. Comparisons are produced and maintained by the Refer Labs team. We are not the manufacturer or provider of the products we review.
