Diagnostics is still being built. Where a page here links a company that pays us, it says so beside that link, and nothing else on these pages earns us anything. How we make money.
Refer Labs may earn a commission if you sign up or buy through the links on this page, including to i-screen, at no extra cost to you. How we work.

i-screen's terms name the operator as Intelligent Screening Pty Ltd, ABN 92 615 110 917, based in South Perth, Western Australia. It sells pathology tests directly to consumers, handling the order, the pathology request form and the results dashboard.
i-screen's terms limit its services to people aged 18 and over in Australia. The exception is home DNA, microbiome and organic-acids testing for under-18s, with a parent's or guardian's consent. Its terms say the services are not recommended in pregnancy.
How ordering works
- Order the test online. No GP referral is needed.
- For a blood, urine or breath test, i-screen emails a pathology request form; take it, printed, with ID to one of its affiliated collection centres. No appointment is needed.
- For a home kit, the kit and instructions are posted to you, and the sample goes back to the lab in a prepaid envelope.
- Results are published to your i-screen dashboard, and you are emailed when they are ready.
i-screen's FAQ says the price on its website includes all fees and charges, and that no Medicare card is needed. A non-designated collection centre may accept the form but will bill you again.
Where are i-screen collection centres?
i-screen lists its designated centres on its collection centre finder. Its FAQ says no appointment is needed, though it suggests calling ahead to check opening hours, and that you bring photo ID such as a driver's licence and a printed copy of your pathology request form. For a saliva or urine test, it asks you to check the centre stocks the right container. If there is no centre near you, i-screen asks you to contact it with your suburb.
Who reviews the results?
i-screen's terms describe AI-generated insights and interpretations, with results flagged as outside expected ranges routed to qualified health professionals, including doctors, nurses and dietitians, for review before they are released. i-screen's FAQ says some blood results are available as soon as the following day, and more specialised tests take longer; home kits typically take about two weeks once the sample reaches the lab. i-screen does not prescribe medicines.
What do i-screen tests cost?
i-screen's catalogue runs from A$29 to A$1,999. Four of its single tests have a guide of their own here: gut microbiome, H. pylori, thyroid and baby gut.
| Test | Price | Sample | Results | What it covers | Link |

i-screen's own terms state that none of its services are Medicare-rebatable or eligible for government subsidy, so the full price is what you pay.
